The most important issue is the bathtub. I am a reasonably healthy 73 yr old and I slipped twice when taking a shower; it's very slippery and would be dangerous for a less agile oldster. The other issue is odor. I'm very glad my wife wasn't there. Smelled like dogs stayed there and only went out in the rain

We unfortunately had multiple issues with the home when we stayed there. Upon attempting to check in, there was no lockbox containing the key. The owner had planned to arrange an in-person key exchange, but had provided no prior warning that they wished to do so. We were never asked for an ETA, and the owner was not promptly available over the phone to solve the key situation. I recommend the owner invest in a key lockbox for the future. When finally entering the house, we did not find any checkin/checkout instructions. While this is perhaps not a requirement, it does make the owner's expectations more clear to guests and reduces their anxiety about how situations should be handled (ok to use kitchenware, tear down the beds, what should be done with towels, ok to leave leftover food/beverage, etc?).The condition of the home was also a concern. The first thing we noticed is that floors were unclean, to the point of being uncomfortable to walk on in un-shoed feet. The various sleeping arrangements were also inadequate. Specifically, the pull-out lacked sheets, and its pillows lacked pillow cases. We were able to make-do with some of the provided blankets, but the state was concerning. In the master bedroom, we also noticed that only a single pillow was provided in the bed which is supposed to sleep two people. Lastly, we were also welcomed by an unemptied mop bucket in one of the bedrooms as well.In all, while the proximity of the location to ND's campus is excellent, I would recommend that prospective renters consider other alternatives until the owner has demonstrated they are able to adequately prepare their home to receive guests.
