Little Big House at Michigan Stadium

Ann Arbor, MI

  • 7 People
  • 4 Bedrooms
  • 2.5 Bathrooms
  • 0.27 miles Driving distance to event

This four-bedroom residential home was originally located halfway up the east stands in what is now Section 1 of Michigan Stadium; in 1926, it was moved two blocks to its current location so the stadium could be excavated. In 2008, after an extensive remodel, Fine Homebuilding magazine wrote "It was spared from the wrecking ball and moved down the street to its current lot when the University of Michigan decided to build a new stadium, ironically nicknamed ‘The Big House.’" Thanks to its proximity and historical link to Michigan Stadium, you won't find a location with more school spirit anywhere in town. It's the ideal venue for corporate events, commencement parties, or a family football weekend in Ann Arbor.

Other Amenities/Notes

This home was originally located two blocks away, on the site where Michigan Stadium now sits (near the 50-yard line in Section 1). In September of 1926, it was moved to its current location so Michigan Stadium could be excavated. The house was remodeled and modernized in 2008 with an open floor plan, new kitchen, baths, gas fireplace, and built-in entertainment system. With plenty of parking, it's a great place to tailgate, better than any luxury suite for corporate events, and it sleeps up to seven. This historic home is quite simply the ultimate base for a weekend in Ann Arbor.

This is a fantastic house -- room for a group of guests, beautiful yet comfortable interior, and has everything you need. A quick walk to the stadium in an pleasant and attractive neighborhood. The house was immaculate and the hosts thought of little extras such a complimentary bowl of fruit which we enjoyed. We plan to rent again during the 2018 football season and would highly recommend this home to others planning a group trip to Ann Arbor.

Amazingly close to the football stadium, parking is included saving you a bunch ofmoney on that. Gorgeous home. In fact, one of my friends that was there from the New York area is in construction and he raved about the high quality of everything in and out of the house. The house had everything available that it had in its ad and more. We briefly met the owners and they seemed great.
