Owner Expectations
As the owner of a property contracted with Double Domer Properties, LLC, the following instructions are expected to be followed for every weekend rental:
- The house must be properly clean, especially the kitchen and all bathrooms.
- Check-in time is at 5 pm on the day of arrival unless otherwise agreed upon between the renter and the owner.
- DDP must be notified of any changes in check-in time via e-mail.
- Check-out time is at 12 pm on the day of departure unless otherwise agreed upon between renter and owner.
- DDP must be notified of any changes in check-out time via e-mail.
- The owner must prepare special instructions for renters for operation of specialty electronics, parking, bringing trash to the curb, etc.
- Fresh linens must be provided, including, but not limited to, bedding and towels.
- The kitchen should contain standard utensils and cooking tools including, but not limited to, pots, pans, dishware, paper towels, and hand soap.
- All bathrooms should contain toilet paper, hand soap, and fresh towels.
- The owner should designate a closet that will be locked and that will hold all items to which that owner does not want the renters to have access.
- The owner must provide renters with emergency contact information.
The following instructs liability for issues that may occur:
- If renters encounter damaged or unsuitable living conditions, Double Domer Properties will notify the owner, who is then responsible for repair.
- If renters cause damage, the owner must provide an invoice so as to provide proof of damage and receive compensation from the security deposit.
- In all cases of standard maintenance, the owner is responsible for repair.
This agreement also stipulates that a representative from Double Domer Properties is allowed to take pictures of the owner's home, which must be clean and presentable.
Please note that Double Domer Properties does not provide a cleaning service at the end of rental weekends. However, we can recommend a cleaning service upon request.
Ultimately, these instructions require the owner's best judgment, so we encourage you to provide for your renters as if you were to be a guest in your own home.
